Building strong children and families is essential, and the Families First Resource Center has the tools to help. This is a community-based program provides seminars, workshops and many other resources free of charge to the community.
Parenting classes
Families First Resource Center offers “Active Parenting” classes.
Active Parenting Now uses entertaining video scenes to demonstrate common parenting challenges and solutions. Video, discussion, and activities make for a fast-paced workshop.
Learn skills that will help you develop cooperation, responsibility and self-esteem in your children. You'll also learn positive discipline techniques so you can avoid those all-too-familiar power struggles.
Fatherhood

“24/7 DAD A.M.” Seminar is designed to help fathers find the answer to the question What things are really important?
Topics of discussion include:

Upon completion of the seminar, each father will receive a certificate of completion.
Abstinence
The Aspire abstinence course teaches that abstinence is not an end but a means to an end. It is living your life with a sense of purpose and maximizing your future opportunities. It’s living for a purpose greater than yourself. If you marry in the future, your abstinence until that time will provide an excellent foundation for a healthy, stable marriage built on mutual trust and respect.
Healthy Marriage
“The 8 Habits of a Successful Marriage” seminar offers a framework for applying a universal self-discovery approach that enables couples to communicate about their problems and to resolve them successfully.
Participants will learn how to:

“The 8 Habits of a Successful Marriage” curriculum is an eight-hour seminar which helps individuals and couples redefine what they want in a relationship and is available in weekly classes or weekend retreats. You will learn to build character, communication, deepen friendship and resolve conflict. All classes and retreats are Free.
